Elton John’s Sunday headline show supplied the big finale, but 2023 is also remembered for a very different Pyramid Stage moment: Lewis Capaldi struggling vocally while the crowd carried songs with him.
The weekend had the usual range of pop spectacle, indie nostalgia and discoveries elsewhere on site. But the lasting impression was how quickly Glastonbury can switch from mass entertainment to something unusually intimate despite the size of the audience.
